Leshang Chen
I'm currently a Software Engineer at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Previously I was a graduate student and a research assistant in Department of Computer and Information Science, University of Pennsylvania, supervised by Prof. Susan Davidson. My research interests include database, data management, data science and their interactions with machine learning.
Experience
Research Assistant
I work in database group of CIS department. My research interests involve database, data management, data science and their interactions with machine learning. Specifically, I work on software citation, data citation, machine learning pricing, and reasoning over workflow provenance.
Teaching Assistant
I serve as TA for CIS 545 Big Data Analytics in Fall and Spring of this academic year. This course teaches big data analysis topics and tools, including necessary knowledge for data preprocessing, database, machine learning, distributed learning, visualization, to help data scientists on their future work.
